Here is the document attestation procedure while a Qatar employee bringing their family with them.
Non-education certificate attestation is for attesting the birth certificate of child and marriage certificate of father and mother so a dependent visa can be applied after attesting these certificate. While applying for Visa, Qatar government will check employee’s occupation and whether he is capable of living with a family in Qatar. Upon verifying the capability and attested documents, they will grant a dependent visa for the family member to live with their loved one in Qatar.
There are 2 ways Marriage/Birth Certificate Attestation can be done,
- Non-Education Document Attestation without State HRD Attestation.
- Non-Education Document Attestation with State HRD Attestation.
1. Non-Education Document Attestation without State HRD Attestation
A non-education document attestation which is Birth certificate /Marriage certificate attestation can also be attested without state home department attestation. Although document required are same for non-education document attestation, the process varies a bit when state home department comes in the picture. We will see how this process goes and vary.
Below are the mandatory required documents for Non-education document attestation,
- Original Marriage / Birth Certificate
Original marriage or birth certificate is what primarily needed for this attestation. The marriage certificate is needed when there only spouse is travelling to Qatar and when it comes to the child, a birth certificate attestation is necessary.
- Passport Copy of Husband and Wife (Marriage Certificate)
Passport copy of Husband and wife is necessary when the process is for the wife. Note that Wife should have a valid passport and marriage certificate to show you both are connected. It is better to have details are included in both official documents are the same.
- Passport Copy of Father and Child (Birth Certificate)
A valid passport copy of Father and child along with a credible birth certificate which will officially declare the relationship between father and child. This birth certificate will be attested for further visa processes.
Procedure of Attestation
- Notary Attestation (Mumbai)
This is the basic step for attestation and this can be performed at Mumbai also. Once the Notary Attestation has done, Certificate will pass it to Home Department attestation which is also situated in Mumbai.
- Home Department Attestation (Mumbai)
Once the certificate received with Notary attestation, Home Department will inquire about the credibility of the certificate through their records and based on the investigation, they will approve and attest the document from their side.
- Attestation from Ministry of External Affairs (New Delhi)
As per the Certificate Attestation Rules, MEA is the highest authority in India to attest the certificate on behalf of the Indian government. Once they receive the birth certificate or marriage certificate, will check the credibility by validating the official report and attestation and based on the same, they will provide the attestation on behalf of India Government. This will be treated as India declaring the document as valid and he can go to Qatar from the Indian perspective. Once the MEA attestation is done, they will send the document to the Indian Embassy in Qatar for their attestation.
- Indian Embassy Attestation (Qatar)
Once MEA attests the certificate, as per Qatar Certificate Attestation Procedure, Indian Embassy will receive the certificate for embassy attestation. They will verify the certificate with official comments and attestation marks and based on the certificate credibility and attestations, the embassy will attest it from their end. Once the attestation is completed from the embassy, Certificate will send out to Qatar foreign ministry for more final step in the Qatar attestation process.
- Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Attestation Qatar
After the attestation, Embassy will pass the certificate to the Ministry of Foreign affairs of Qatar for MOFA attestation. This is the final attestation process and MOFA has the authority to attest the certificate on behalf of Qatar government so the candidate can process further bringing the family to Qatar. They will check the certificate and its credibility through official’s remark and attestations in the certificate. - Attestation by Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Qatar)
Once the Embassy attested the certificate, they will pass it to MOFA for the final step of the attestation process. MOFA will check the certificate and its credibility. This attestation will officially declare the documents are accepted by Qatar government and official Indian marriage certificate attestation finished.
